Leaving Light is a deeply personal piece born from a moment of sudden change. Painted in soft layers of pink and purple, it shows storks gliding across a quiet sky—symbols of both departure and quiet strength. This scene holds more than flight; it carries memory, loss, and the fragile beauty of what we take with us when we leave everything behind.
This painting was inspired by my own story—leaving home when war began, unable to return, carrying only what mattered most: my children, our safety, and the unseen weight of goodbye. There was no time for farewells. No last look at the place we loved. Just movement, breath by breath, and the light we carried inside.
Leaving Light is not about starting fresh. It’s about continuing forward, even when the road was never your choice. It holds the ache of what was left behind—and the soft, persistent glow of what remains.
